Arriving

By Plane ( direct flights ) 

During summer, there are many direct charter flights that run from various European airports to Kefalonia’s airport in the capital city of Argostoli. 

From Vienna for example, during summer months, Niki and Airberlin usually offer flights to Argostoli.  So, please check this option out when you start planning your holidays.

For 2016, the Air Berlin flights to Kefalonia start in May and are scheduled every Tuesday at 11:20 am with arrival at Argostoli at 14:30 pm local time.

By plane ( via Athens ) : In case you cannot find a direct flight to serve your needs, then the alternative is to fly to Athens and then travel to Kefalonia by domestic flights provided by Aegean Airlines or Olympic Airways. The flight is very short and it takes less than 1 hour.

By Ferry

Via Kyllini Port : From Athens you have to reach the port of Kyllini by car or bus (approx. 3 1/2 hours) and take the ferry to the Port of Poros in Kefalonia (approx. 1 1/2 hours). From Poros you must then drive towards Fiscardo (approx. 1 1/2 hours).

Via Patras Port : From Athens you have to reach the port of Patras by bus or car (approx. 2 1/2 hours) and take the ferry going to the port of Sami in Kefalonia (approx. 3 1/2 hours). From Sami you must then drive towards direction Fiscardo (approx. 1 hour).
